Deck & Fence Cleaning
Wood decks, composite decks, fences, pergolas, and outdoor furniture — cleaned with the right pressure and the right cleaner for each material. We restore the wood, not splinter it.

Different Surface, Different Method
- Pressure-treated wood (most decks and fences): medium pressure, with the grain, paired with a wood-safe cleaner to lift the gray oxidized layer and reveal fresh wood underneath.
- Cedar: lower pressure than pressure-treated. Cedar is soft; aggressive pressure raises the grain and leaves a fuzzy surface that's hard to refinish.
- Composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, Azek): very low pressure with composite-safe cleaner. High pressure damages the cap layer permanently.
- Hardwood (ipe, mahogany): medium pressure with the grain plus brightening if oxidation is heavy.
- Painted/stained wood: the question is whether you're trying to keep the existing finish or strip it. We adjust pressure accordingly — cleaning a stained deck for a refresh is different from prepping it for re-stain.
What We Clean
- Decks — lake-side wood, composite, multi-level
- Fences — privacy, picket, ag, pool
- Pergolas, arbors, and gazebos
- Outdoor wood furniture — Adirondack chairs, benches, tables
- Wood siding on lake cabins and outbuildings
- Wooden gates and trellises
Pre-Stain & Pre-Seal Cleaning
If you're planning to re-stain or re-seal a deck, the cleaning is half the job. A deck that wasn't cleaned right before stain absorbs unevenly, blotches, and looks worse than before. We clean to bare, bright wood with the right combo of cleaner and brightener, then leave you a deck that's ready to take stain or sealer cleanly.
We do the cleaning prep; we don't do the staining itself. If you want a turnkey package, we can refer to a deck-staining specialist who does only finishing work.
What to Expect
We pre-wet landscaping at the deck edge, cover or move plants and outdoor furniture, apply cleaner, dwell, then rinse. Heavy mildew or deep gray oxidation may need a second pass. The deck is wet and unusable for the rest of the day; usually safe to walk on the next morning. If we did a wood brightener step, the color comes out fully after 24 hours of drying.
How We Price Deck & Fence Cleaning
By square footage and surface condition. Heavily oxidized wood that needs a brightener and second pass costs more than routine refresh. Written quote in advance. Here's how our quotes work.
